Usually those snakes are on planes, but we have a Naga here and her Sporebats and that's close to enough to put the old Matron Vashj to her final rest. Besides that she also started to smell fishy, so it was a good moment in time to clean that mess up.
Now to the facts: We started with using a working strat from retail, which soon enough ended up with realizing that there a few mechanics broken.
Entangle area of effect is too big (like most AE's here, nothing new)
Grounding Totem randomly spazzes out and none gets the buff -> Shock Blast doesn't get absorbed
Naga's and Striders decide wallhacking is fine and appear for half the raid below the ground
Striders keep fearing as long as their dead body did not despawn yet
Mob HP (yes not a "bug", still retarded
Bossmod timers being off or combat/chatlog errors
So first to fix random death's of dps when tank get's stunned from shockblast. Since you either have a feral druid shifting and taunting or any other tank standing outside entangle range wasn't an option (see first bullet above). I started to dig through 300 MB of combatlog and actually saw that the Grounding Totem sometimes works. So time to fix the Bossmod and add timers for Entangle and Shock Blast. (check)
Now phase2 starts, but bossmod again doesn't pick the phase change. (hint: Vashj phase change yell has an extra space at the end :P). Trying to fix timers for striders/nagas was sorta an estimation but at least it worked good enough. Tainted Elementals are also not meant to only throw poison bolts at its personal threat list, but to anyone in combat…. Loeg decided to stop eating cores (that's good lil hungry gnum!) No serverlag and dc's on the kill (serverfirst?) Melee raping the shit in phase 1 and 2 (and half decent in p3!)
